Änimal;

Exploring Humanity through Animal Symbolism

In Äni’s artistic journey, she delves into the profound and intricate connection between humanity and the animal kingdom.

Expressed through various painting styles and mediums, which represent the aesthetic diversity in the animal world, Änimal is an exhibition that unveils the layers of meaning, self-expression, and sincerity found within these connections.

Through a mix of painting, sculpture, textile and multimedia art, she aims to explore the intricate web of associations that link humanity to the wild and the untamed aspects of our own selves. Animals have been symbols of both inner and outer worlds, representing qualities and characteristics that transcend mere biology to the bond humans have with animals. It reaches into the realms of symbolism, myth, and the untamed corners of human hearts.

In this exhibition, Äni explores how these symbolic animal links reflect human nature. Through her artwork, she invites viewers to embrace their “wild side” the untamed and unfiltered aspects of their being.

These primal instincts are often suppressed in the name of societal norms, but remain an integral part of who we are.
The wild side reflects the source of creativity, passion, and individual characteristics of oneself.

Through the amalgamation of different media and artistic techniques, “Änimal” seeks to foster a dialogue between the inner and outer worlds, demonstrating the beauty and mystery that lies within the intersections of humanity and the animal kingdom.
